Advancing Accessible Mobility in Europe: Toyota Mobility Foundation in partnership with Michelin Foundation and Association Tourisme & Handicaps launch “My Easy Access” Platform in Vichy
VICHY, FRANCE
Toyota Mobility Foundation (TMF), in collaboration with the Michelin Corporate Foundation and Tourisme & Handicaps, announces the official launch of the My Easy Access platform in Vichy. This milestone marks the next phase of a shared ambition to improve accessibility and freedom of movement for all, following the successful pilot deployment in Marseille in April 2025.
My Easy Access is a unified digital platform that brings together an ecosystem of services, including a paper map produced with Michelin Editions, a dedicated website to prepare trips and visits, and the My Easy Access application designed by Andyamo, available on the Apple Store and Google Play, which provides verified, real-time information on accessible locations and adapted routes tailored to individual mobility needs. The platform is specifically designed for people with disabilities, seniors, and families, enabling them to navigate cities with confidence, independence, and ease by identifying safe, step-free, and accessible pathways.
The launch in Vichy reflects the partners’ joint commitment, formalized in October 2025, to co-create scalable solutions that address the real-world mobility challenges faced by people with disabilities, seniors, and families.
A Scalable and Ever-Evolving Model for Inclusive, High-Precision Mobility
My Easy Access stands out through its highly differentiated approach to inclusive mobility, combining personalized guidance with real-time, verified information and exceptional precision in navigation. Unlike conventional navigation tools, the platform is specifically designed around pedestrian accessibility, with the ability to identify and guide users along safe, adapted pathways based on their individual mobility needs. It considers the real conditions of the environment such as step-free access, surface quality, slopes, crossing safety, and potential obstacles to deliver accurate, step-by-step guidance that users can trust.
While the model is scalable and ready to be deployed in new cities, it is also designed as a continuously evolving platform: each new territory contributes to enriching the service with local insights, data, and specific assets further enhancing the quality, relevance, and precision of the experience for all users. This combination of scalability and continuous improvement, supported by local engagement, ensures a seamless and ever-more reliable experience from planning to arrival, enabling users to move through urban environments with confidence, predictability, and full awareness of their surroundings.
Validated by Users, Transforming Everyday Mobility
Building on insights from Marseille, Vichy becomes a strategic partner city where inclusive mobility solutions are refined in close collaboration with local stakeholders.
Over recent months, residents, including people with reduced mobility, seniors, and caregivers, actively contributed to testing and validating the platform. Their input enabled the creation of a verified database of accessible locations and adapted routes, tailored specifically to the Vichy environment.
Feedback from the beta-testing phase confirms the strong value and impact of the solution. Users consistently highlighted its ease of use, the clarity and reliability of the information, and the overall quality of the experience. They reported a significant improvement in their ability to travel independently, gaining autonomy and confidence when planning and undertaking journeys. The platform also contributes to a noticeable reduction in stress related to accessibility uncertainties, resulting in a calmer, more controlled, and more reassuring travel experience, with high levels of satisfaction and recommendation intent.
This approach reflects TMF’s belief that sustainable mobility solutions must be co-designed with communities and grounded in lived experience to deliver meaningful and lasting impact.
A Shared Vision for Accessible Cities
The current initiative represents the second collaboration between TMF and the City of Vichy in inclusive mobility, building on a 2025 project with the City of Vichy and Vichy Communauté that piloted adapted wayfinding, accessible trip planning, and detailed pedestrian mapping.
The City of Vichy continuously demonstrates a strong and ongoing commitment to accessibility and inclusive tourism. By supporting the deployment of My Easy Access, the city reinforces its ambition to create an urban environment where autonomy, dignity, and ease of movement are available to all residents and visitors.
The platform provides a unified digital ecosystem, combining a mobile application, website, and GPS-based mapping, that enables users to navigate the city according to their individual mobility needs. Whether for wheelchair users, seniors, or families with strollers, it delivers trusted, real-time information on accessible infrastructure, venues, transport, and events.
A Multi-Partner Approach to Mobility Innovation
The collaboration between TMF and the Michelin Corporate Foundation brings together complementary strengths:
- Toyota Mobility Foundation contributes expertise in multimodal mobility, wayfinding, and user-centred innovation
- Michelin Corporate Foundation advances safe and accessible mobility solutions
- Tourisme & Handicaps brings touristic expertise and ensures alignment with national accessibility standards and user validation
Together, the partners are working to establish a replicable model for inclusive mobility, supporting cities in becoming more accessible while strengthening local economic and tourism ecosystems.
Looking Ahead
The deployment in Vichy represents an important step in a broader roadmap to expand My Easy Access across additional French and European cities.
By combining technology, cross-sector partnerships, and local engagement, the initiative aims to contribute to a future where mobility barriers are systematically reduced and where cities are designed to be inclusive by default.
